G.R.O.W.I.N.G
(Guiding
and Reaching Out to Women in Need of Grace)
is a community-based program founded
in 2006 by Tomanika Witherspoon. This program is designed for at-risk female youth between ages 16-19 whom have been in the
foster care and/or juvenile system. The purpose of this program is to reduce the recidivism rates of at-risk youth returning
to residential placements, juvenile detention facilities and other higher levels of care. It is our belief that youth shall
reside in the least restrictive environment in order for youth to enhance the quality of their lives. We house up to 6 youth
and we have a 6:1 resident to staff ratio. G.R.O.W.I.N.G offers a variety of services.
Detailed descriptions of the services offered are listed under the “Services” link. Although the length of stay
may vary depending on each individual’s needs and treatment plan; this is a 6-9 month program.
